Because the migrating activity of antigen-presenting cells and T cells to lymph nodes and organs is critical to their immunizing ability, understanding their homing potential, accumulation and residence time in physiological settings is crucial for optimizing intervention. We construct and test particulate-based contrast agents that target T cells and antigen-presenting cells enabling their visualization by non-invasive methods such as MRI.
